Specialized Allez Sport

Having borrowed a road bike for a couple of sportives, it was inevitable that one would be bought to complement the Hardrock mountain bike. This Allez Sport was purchased in April 2010.

So far it has proved to be quite a work horse. Very rewarding to ride, certainly more comfortable than the borrowed Focus Variado used in a couple of sportives, and capable of lapping up the miles with relatively little effort. Gear cables, jockey wheels and chain all needed replacing at around 2000 miles, but only the chain at 4000 miles.

This is the Sport Double version, so it features an aluminium frame, carbon fork, Shimano Sora gear levers, crankset and brakes and Shimano Tiagra rear derailleur, & Alex rims S500 wheels.
