Cycling Sportive Events 2011
2011 was a big year for cycling, a massive 4900 miles completed, and again a number of sportives, over longer distances. Finally another new road bike came in October 2011, a Specialized Tarmac Elite (very brand loyal!).
Here are the results of the sportive events ridden in 2011. In the tables below, times include stops, and number of riders includes only those riders cycling over the same distance. These aren't races, so I haven't put in an overall position, but of course I have looked at the result sheet to figure out how well I was doing compared to other people.

Cycling Sportive Events 2009 & 2010
After starting cycling in April 2009 as an attempt to get back to some sort of fitness. A Specialized Hardrock mountain bike was bought, and incredibly the motivation stayed, and even grew. The first sportive ride was a challenge thrown down by a brother - complete with a borrowed bike. Finally a road bike was needed to complement the mountain bike and a Specialized Allez Sport was purchased in April 2010. During 2009, 1800 miles cycled, followed by 3000 miles in 2010.
